Vitamin K2 Uplab
Vitamin K has two natural forms, K1 and K2. Vitamin K1 plays a role in blood clotting, while vitamin K2 acts extrahepatically and plays a primary role in preventing accumulation of calcium in the blood vessels, which creates atherosclerotic plaques, while being the key to the entry of calcium into the bone matrix. This action is based on 2 different behaviors:
- Against atherosclerosis, by activating the so-called matrix gla protein (MGP), which inhibits calcium precipitation in the vessels (as known, the atherosclerotic plaques consist of 20% calcium).
- With regard to the calcium absorption in the bones, K2 is responsible for the activation of osteocalcin, which carries calcium to the bones, mineralizes the spongy bone and also promotes the synthesis of the tooth enamel. Without K2, osteocalcin is inactivated and cannot carry calcium.
Description
For these reasons, vitamin K2 becomes unique for the organism, since from its level depends on whether the calcium will be driven into bone or soft tissue and blood vessels to precipitate.

Δοσολογία και τρόπος χορήγησης
Για τους ενήλικες, 1 δισκίο ημερησίως, κατά προτίμηση μετά το γεύμα.
